We recently had new automatic doors fitted, making our entrance fully accessible, and we also have an accessible toilet, which includes baby changing facilities.
Yes, but spaces are very limited. We have three parking spaces for library users, one of which is a dedicated accessible bay. Parking in the village can be difficult so we would advise using public transport or other means of travel where possible.
Yes, it only takes a few minutes to fill out a membership form, and our friendly volunteers are available to assist you. After you complete the form, we send your information to our colleagues at The Word, the central library hub for our area. They will register you and send us your new library card, which you can collect on your next visit. This library card grants you access to not only our collection of books but also every South Tyneside library, including both community-run and local authority-owned libraries. Additionally, it allows you to use a wide range of online resources, such as ebooks, e-magazines, and audiobooks, through the Libby and BorrowBox apps.
